Thanksgiving has come and gone but this is the season of giving – 11/26/12
This is a wonderful time of the year as we start to reflect on the bounties received and think about the seeds we want to plant (mind/body/spirit) for next year’s harvest. It reminds me of why I’m in the business I’m in and the decision I made to do what I do. The bottom line and goal is to help small to medium businesses and professionals realize their dreams >> succeed. It’s about building relationships that are authentic in both business and personal so that we can help others grow personally and professionally. I am blessed to see the results of an honest work ethic and helping others has far reaching rewards beyond the monetary. Determination Pays Off - 9/9/12

Barbara started her real estate company with $1000 she borrowed from her boyfriend, who subsequently left her and married their secretary. Barbara took that money and built a real estate empire she sold for cash for $66 Million. Resilience and determination pays off. There is not always a clear cut path to success. Having faith and believing in one self despite what anyone tells you may be the secret ingredient and special sauce to VICTORY. Barbara talks about in one of her videos how her ex-boyfriend said to her, you will never make it without me. And every time she thought she would hit bottom, she remembered those words, which drove her determination. She talks about how God planted another idea that kept her afloat till she eventually grew her business and sold it for $66 million cash.

Positive Thinking: Stay Focused On Your Goals and Dreams - 9/3/12
Everyone hits a bumpy period of time when they are not sure if they should keep going with their business ideas or throw in the towel. My experience is that if you have a solid business plan, created an online marketing strategy and have a support team of professionals and business people who can help you *at affordable rates keep going. You may be experiencing a temporary slump but that is expected when doing any long field goals. You may have hit a few curves on the road and that’s also expected. One thing is don’t get discouraged and don’t quit. Take the time to reflect and re-connect within to get renewed energy, what does your goal or dream mean to you? If you are like me, then they are more precious than gold. They represent Hope and Faith, which are our best allies in dark times. Maybe these bumps in the roads are asking you to slow down and look at something again.
Sometimes you have to take a temporary alternate route. We all have detours from time to time, it’s part of life but then if you stay focused, you will eventually get back on the road you are meant to be on and then you will get to your destination. Quite frankly, practice makes perfect. If you haven’t hit your stride maybe the timing isn’t right or the plan isn’t fully congealed for you to quite amp it up and implement the next phase. Let me say that again, practice makes perfect. Remember our mind is naturally restless. It wants to feel that it is ‘doing’ something, even if trying to get you to spin your wheels, it may feel like short-term yet frustrating progress. Don’t get sucked into your own mind games. Be like an Archer and hit the mark. Learn to love the process and what you are doing most of all. If it was so easy, how do you really stretch, grow and get better? There is nothing that conveys and translates great energy than putting passion in what you do. If you’ve been feeling really stuck, then walk away from the problem for a few days, do something else, get some fresh air, do something fun and come back to a new perspective. Einstein gave great advice when he said, you can’t solve a problem at the level of the problem. Which means step outside to find your solution.
Staying focused on your goals and dreams is important because when you have finished a key or small milestone in your life, no one can take that sense of personal accomplishment from you.

Video, Streaming and Internet TV - 8/19/12
As a small business or professional, consider adding video content, streaming and Internet TV (webinar, training or how to videos, monetize video content for downloads) offerings on your web site. Why? It can enhance elements of your site to go viral (shared) faster and increase your web traffic. You can do a simple YouTube or Vimeo upload with a camcorder or get a professional web video done. Regardless you want to ensure if you are doing a promo to think about length. Research shows for short promos, like a video commercial should be no longer than 1 minute/60 seconds. Viewers attention span for these types of videos drop off. Say the most important part of your message in the first 15 seconds of the script, then build up detail for your viewers in the remaining 45 seconds. You will be surprised that a 1 minute/60 second video actually goes a long way. We also recommend doing an outline or script first. Think about what your key message is you want to convey to your audience and how you want this message received. Put yourself in their shoes. Ask family, friends or other professionals for feedback on the content and message.
There are a lot of helpful tips you can Google or Bing when you search for video scripts templates to help spark some initial ideas. If you are a business or entrepreneur, think about investing in a professionally edited web video. Having a video edited professionally with transitions, text and even green screen sends a great message to your audience that you care about your brand’s image and a polished product or service. Once your video is complete or if you’ve created a few on your web site, make sure you create a video sitemap to ensure the search engines find your video content. This can be created easily as well by doing a search online for video sitemaps or have a webmaster assist.

DIY (do-it-yourself) FREE or Low-cost Marketing Methods – 7/23/12
TIME = Money. DIY free or low-cost marketing methods may seem appealing in terms of cost, but can be EXPENSIVE in terms of TIME commitment. Another way to look at this is what is the ROI (return on investment) of TIME spent? So for example, a business owner takes 20 hours to implement a DIY free or low-cost marketing method. The business owner should also take into consideration what does that time equal to how much they charge for products or services? Has the business owner sold enough products or services to see PROFITS from the 20 hours invested on the DIY free or low-cost marketing methods?
If they are not seeing that the 20 hours of time invested actually yields PROFITS, then they should consider changing their marketing strategy.
Loyalty Programs – Thank Customers or Clients for Purchases – 7/23/12
How are you rewarding your customers for being loyal to your brand? Consider developing a purchase strategy for new and existing customers. Customers who remain loyal and make multiple purchases should be offered a chance to enroll in a loyalty program. If a customer has purchased items or services from you more than 2+ times or spent a certain threshold amount, then consider developing a loyalty-based marketing strategy to reward these customers.
Also, it sends a message that gives new customers an incentive to return and purchase more often.
